Tehachapi Valley Fire Department (KCFD Contract)
There is no standalone Tehachapi Valley fire department. Fire and EMS in the City of Tehachapi and the surrounding valley are provided by the Kern County Fire Department (Station 12). Firefighters here are Kern County Fire employees hired through KCFD's process and interview with a KCFD panel -- candidates apply to Kern County Fire.
