Chester Fire Protection District
On December 27, 2024, the Plumas County LAFCo approved annexing the Chester Fire Protection District into the Peninsula Fire Protection District, and Chester FPD began dissolution. Chester FPD no longer operates as an independent agency -- fire and EMS in the Chester / Lake Almanor area are now provided by Peninsula Fire Protection District, and candidates apply there.
